Level 2 Basic Life Support and Safe Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) - (half-day course)

This very practical Half day course will enable learners to use the AED competently and with confidence.

Outline

A range of subjects are covered including:
  • Responsibilities and reporting
  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
  • Resuscitation
  • Defibrillation procedures and assessment of the situation
  • Infection control
  • AED functions
  • Safety measures

Description

The qualification lasts for 3 years, all attendees must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
A course handbook and refreshments will be provided.
